This URUS has provided its owner with LOTS of enjoyment for the past 20k miles, but there's been one thing that's always bothered him. It had a surprisingly sluggish throttle response, which is crazy to think given the nature of the SUV. Everything about it is so extreme, and wild it was shocking to get that kind of feedback and even experience it for ourselves. But this is the nature of apparently every OEM electronic throttle body. A delayed throttle is no fun, and especially inexcusable for a Lamborghini. We knew we could fix this with tuning, and would make some more power in the process. We were excited to get this one on our AWD Mustang dyno to see what it put down.

The average of 3 stock power pulls ended up being 63lhp/648tq. Not bad at all, and about 15 more than the RS Q8 we tuned a few days prior.
Some people would be happy with that. It is, after all, more horsepower than probably 99% of the cars on the road. And of that 1% most of those can't fit more than 1 passenger. But we don't deal with most people. We deal in the exceptional and our customers demand more power, with better driveability, and we are happy to oblige.

After a handful of revisions, and some verification pulls, we ended up right where we wanted to be on a 93 octane tune with 697hp/752tq.  Actually, I'm lying . Where we really wanted to be was 700whp because it was so damn close. But the numbers are what they are, and the Mustang dynos have earned that "heartbreaker dyno" name for a reason.. In any case, this wasn't a number chasing game; our customers only request was that we eliminated that lazy throttle response.   He called us back the very next day to let us know it is exactlly how he has always wanted it, which we always love hearing.
